On Thursday March 31, 2011, FEHSF held the "FEHSF 2011 Tom Ridge Homeland Security Awards." This star studded spectacular event, hosted by Dean Cain, was held at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. Other celebrities in attendance were Mario Lopez, Vivica Fox, Buzz Aldrin, Joe Frazier and Miss USA.
Named in honor of FEHSF Honorary Director, Governor Tom Ridge, the first Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. The FEHSF Tom Ridge Homeland Security Awards Event was a celebration and acknowledgement of courageous Special Agents from: Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Tom Ridge was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his years of service to our country.
