PHOENIX FELLOWSHIP COMING SOON 〰️
FEHSF is proud to announce our upcoming partnership with The DEA Educational Foundation in support of the Phoenix Fellowship, a new national initiative designed to help young people rise from trauma, and adversity into leadership, opportunity, and purpose.
The Phoenix Fellowship is more than a youth program. It is a movement built around a simple but powerful belief: young people who have endured a life exposed to violence, dangerous drugs, instability, and hardship should not be defined by what happened to them. With the right support, mentorship, healing, and opportunity, they can become the leaders our communities need most.
Through this initiative, FEHSF and The DEA Educational Foundation will work to build a scalable national model that combines mentorship, corporate exposure, professional development, trauma-informed support, community engagement, and leadership training. The goal is not only to help young people succeed individually, but to create a new generation of civic-minded leaders committed to safer, stronger, and more hopeful communities.
The Phoenix Fellowship is designed to place selected fellows into immersive environments where they can see what leadership looks like, understand how institutions work, build professional confidence, and develop the skills needed to pursue careers, higher education, public service, and community impact. Fellows will be exposed to corporate partners, community leaders, public-safety professionals, and mentors who can help open doors that many of these young people may never have believed were available to them.
This partnership reflects the shared commitment of FEHSF and The DEA Educational Foundation to prevention, education, empowerment, and public safety. The DEA Educational Foundation has long focused on educating communities about the consequences of illegal drug use and misuse while supporting youth-focused prevention programs and public education initiatives. FEHSF’s Phoenix Fellowship builds on that spirit by investing directly in young people who have the potential to transform their pain into purpose and their experience into leadership.
Our goal is to begin rolling out this national initiative in 2027, with the support of corporations, philanthropic leaders, community partners, and civic-minded individuals who believe that public safety is not only about responding to crisis — it is also about building opportunity before crisis takes root.
We are now seeking supportive corporations, foundations, executives, and community leaders who want to help build the leaders of tomorrow.
Sponsoring the Phoenix Fellowship is not simply a charitable contribution. It is an investment in resilience, leadership, prevention, and the future of our communities.
Together, we can help young people rise.
Together, we can build pathways to purpose.
Together, we can shape the next generation of leaders.
